How to uninstall Windows-based Firefox 3.0

NOTE:   If Firefox is your ONLY browser, you should download and save the 2.0.0.14 .exe program (link below) file BEFORE uninstalling Firefox 3.0. If you have more than one browser on your computer, use a browser other than Firefox to perform the re-installation.

Our tests indicate that Firefox 3.0 has to be uninstalled before re-installing version 2.0. Follow these steps:

  1. From the Start menu at the bottom of your screen, find Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
  2. Click on Mozilla Firefox to highlight it
  3. Click the Remove button.
