A rise in the number of technical support calls to the Sakai Help Desk has brought to our attention a variety of incompatibilities between the Windows-based FireFox 3.0 and OHSU’s Sakai service. The most noted issue is related to copying/pasting Microsoft Word content into the rich text editor in the Forums tool, yielding unacceptable code in the text once it is saved.
If you are a Windows user experiencing this issue, we strongly suggest uninstalling Firefox 3.0 and reinstalling version 2.0.0.14. When the issues with 3.0 are resolved, we will post an update.
Microsoft’s Internet Explorer continues to operate normally but runs more slowly than Firefox.
