Fall 2016 Sakai Course Sites Closed on March 2nd

Most Fall 2016 term Sakai courses permanently closed on Thursday, March 2nd in compliance with U.S. copyright regulations.  OHSU's course closure policy went into effect in the Fall of 2010 to establish its intent to adhere to copyright law and sets its interpretation of the fair use doctrine.

This closure does not affect any self-paced continuing education courses hosted on Sakai.

OHSU Students, Visit the Student Portal

The OHSU Student Portal is your single source for important student news and links to OHSU student services.  You can even access your Sakai course sites from your Student Portal home page.  Check it daily for updates.

Password Problems?

If you are a returning OHSU student and you are having trouble with your OHSU password you likely need to reset your password. OHSU passwords expire every 6 months.  Your Sakai credentials are the same as those used to access your OHSU email and log into networked computers on campus.

Your OHSU network password is controlled by the OHSU Information Technology Group at 503-494-2222.  They are open 24/7 and will walk you through how to reset your password.  The Sakai Help Desk does not have access to reset this password for you.

Beware of Sakai Phishing Scams!

Some OHSU Sakai users may have received a fraudulent email claiming their Sakai account was going to expire soon.  These email are not legitimate Do not click on the links in these emails.

If you have already followed a link and/or entered your username and password into the site from the phishing email you should change your OHSU password immediately.

IMPORTANT: New Healthcare Data Analytics Students With Login Problems!

If you are a new HIT: Healthcare Data Analytics student today, there was a mistake with the password you received in your welcome email that included directions for accessing Sakai.  Please use this Password Reset tool to create a new Sakai password for yourself.  Enter the email address your welcome letter was sent to and then follow the directions in the email message you will receive.

Winter Term Course Sites Opened January 9th

Look for your Winter term sites under the "Sites" menu! Click the star next to the site to "Favorite" it and add it to your course links bar permanently.

Fall course sites on Sakai have opened.  If you do not see a Sakai site for your course your instructor may not be using Sakai, or your registration information may not yet have been sent to Sakai.  Registration information is sent to Sakai nightly from the OHSU Registrar's office.  If you have any questions about course openings, contact the Sakai Help Desk.
